The Strategic Systems Evaluation Department (SSED), a Detachment of NSWC Indian Head Division, located at the Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach, CA., is a Navy-sponsored federal laboratory with a specialized technical workforce. Our evolution from solely a Navy and DoD testing and analysis facility to a multi-function "one-stop" laboratory and engineering test facility brings to your project a broad base of specialized technical expertise and years of experience in industrial problem solving. The Laboratory, Test Systems & Sciences Laboratory (TSSL) is ISO IEC 17025 Accredited. Technical services include: materials sciences and engineering test of materials, electronic subsystems and components, and small ordnance device for chemistry and form fit and function; evaluation of engineering test data; reliability predictions and assessments; sampling plan development; statistical analysis (on-site statisticians); and specialized scientific computer programming for a wide range of military and industrial programs.
